I began practicing yoga in college. While on a study abroad program in Thailand (naturally it was hot) I was asked to teach a hot yoga class to my peers…I would have never thought of teaching yoga as my career path but that moment seemed to play a role in my decision to become a yoga teacher years later. I became certified to teach both Vinyasa Yoga and Hot yoga in 2007. Since that time I have also explored restorative and pre-natal yoga. I like to follow a structure in my class as well as incorporate room for intuitive growth. I think it’s great to challenge yourself but more importantly to stay connected to what you inherently know is best for you. I love music, to travel and spend time with my family. Outside of yoga, I am back in school to become a nurse and plan to blend my passions for yoga and holistic health with the modern medical world.
