Hi Yogis! We are welcoming back blog content with a couple posts a month and will be sharing new things every Tuesday. Today, we wanted to discuss 5 Easy Ways You Can Give Back. Part of being a yogi and just an overall good human is selfless acts and giving to others. These are 5 easy things you can do in your daily life to help and give back to others.
Do you have a tight budget? Or, maybe you don’t know what to give. An easy way to give back is to give your time. You can volunteer at a shelter, feed the homeless, or do a beach cleanup. This is something that costs you nothing and can give so much to your community.
A simple act of kindness, could be buying the persons coffee behind you. Or if you see a first responder in line at a restaurant you can pick up their tab. Just be prepared, they could have a hefty order and once you offer it’s hard to turn back.
Do you have something to offer your community? Give your services for free for a few hours a month. We have instructors that volunteer to teach yoga at their schools or teach yoga to veterans and others in need. Are you a teacher? You can create short IGTV’s for learning or a YouTube channel with fun activities for children. These options are endless.
Keep it simple. Start in your community. Support the local businesses when you can. If you are going to eat out, grab your grub from a local eatery instead of a big chain. Did you love their service, give them a rave review on Yelp. These businesses will always appreciate the support and a little can go a long way.
Maybe none of these easy ways you can give back work for you. The easiest thing you can do for your community and Mother Earth is BE KIND. Give a smile to a person passing by, offer up a compliment to someone, pickup a piece of trash that goes floating on. These are all things that you can do in your daily routine to brighten the day of someone else.
