What is yoga?
These days there are so many definitions, styles and forms of yoga, but if there is one thing you should know; it’s a sure way to get your mind and body feeling great!
First time at Peace Love and Yoga?
$49 for 2 weeks
*Offer valid for new clients only. 2 weeks= 14 consecutive days*
What should you expect your first class?
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out your intake form and get settled in.
Please make the instructor aware of any injuries or medical conditions you may have.
Dress comfortably, and be ready to take your shoes and socks off. We do have cubbies inside the studio to store your belongings. We also have showers for your convenience. Please also remember to turn your cell phone off.
What should you expect in your first heated yoga class?
Be prepared to sweat! Wear clothing you don’t mind sweating in, and bring a towel or rent one from us to lay over your mat to prevent slipping. Some also like to have another small towel to wipe your sweat.
Bring water! Staying hydrated is going to be a must to staying safe and staying focused in your practice.
Take it easy. Allow yourself time to adjust to the heat. If you start to feel fatigue, take your child’s pose, down dog, or simply lay down to reconnect with your breath and slow your heart rate.
Most of all, Have Fun!
Which class should you start with?
If you are brand new to yoga, we recommend your first class to be Flow and Restore which is practiced in a gently-heated room. Flow and Restore is a gentle yoga class focused on restoring, basic fundamentals, proper alignment and breath work with props. We welcome your questions, comments, and concerns to make sure you are confident to begin your practice. Flow and Restore is offered several days and times through out the week.
Our Hot Flow and Play 1 classes are also open to beginners.
If your first class is a Play 1, or Hot Flow please bring a large towel or you can rent one of ours. Towel rental is $2. You will also need to bring some water to stay hydrated during this heated flow.
A No-Show fee occurs when you are signed up for a class and, you guessed it, do not show up or cancel beforehand. The No-Show fee is $10. Any class cards or single class passes will be forfeited if you do not cancel prior to 2 hours before the start of class. Additionally, you will be charged the appropriate fees. Sorry, no exceptions.
For the benefit of teachers and students alike, we do not allow entry into class once it has started.
