Amber Jackson

After Amber’s first hot class at PLAY in 2014, she was hooked. The challenge of the heat and the Asana gave Amber a chance to connect with herself in a new way. The power of the community movement and breath was captivating and the more she attended classes, the more change she noticed within.

Amber began yoga teacher training with PLAY founder Jessica McGimsey at Peace Love and Yoga in 2021. Living in Pensacola, Florida at the time, Amber participated in training virtually and made several trips to join the intensive training weekends and modules in person. Continuing with her 300hr training in 2022 gave Amber the opportunity to dive deeper into the philosophy and techniques of yoga that go beyond asana. Amber plans to be a forever student soaking up the ancient knowledge from the beautiful practices and teachings of yoga so she can continue to weave them into life both on and off the mat. Yoga has helped her manage the symptoms of scoliosis & anxiety as well as recover from the PTSD and injuries of a car accident.

After teaching for a year at a local Florida studio and on the military base NAS Whiting Field, Amber had the opportunity to move back to Southern California in 2023 and began teaching at PLAY. She enjoying teaching a variety of classes including Hot Vinyasa, Hot Flow, Flow & Restore, and Kick Your Asana! It is always her intention to offer classes that feel open to all levels of experience and ability. It is with joy that Amber is able to share the experience of yoga with others in the hopes that they may also know the gifts of healing, self-knowledge, strength, and the resilience that yoga provides.
