Join Audrey Burns, E-RYT 200, as she brings you the practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, also known as “yogic sleep”, is a guided deep relaxation practice. Beginning in Savasana with props for maximum comfort, you will be taken on a journey to bring your body into a state of relaxation while keeping the mind in an alert, dream-like, and meditative state. This practice promotes relaxation, stress relief, helps insomnia, and contributes to your overall well-being. The workshop begins with an explanation of Yoga Nidra, followed by a grounding pranayama practice to calm the nervous system, which leads into a sequence of movement to release extra energy, and finishes with the practice of Yoga Nidra diving into a deep state of conscious awareness sleep.
